Opportunities: 6-14 Greens in Regulation – Team Challenge 1v1

Drill Summary:

Simulate real-life scenario with X number of birdie opportunities (Greens in Regulation).

Drill Setup:

For example, for 10 GIR drill, each player uses 10 golf balls; randomly position half of the balls within [12 ft | 4 m] and the other half between [12 ft | 4 m] and [30 ft | 10 m]. Each player gets 6, 8, 10, 12 and/or 14 birdie opportunities.

‍

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1v1 Stroke Play. Start with 6 GIR, both players finish all the putts – one by one – and count the total score relative to PAR. Then complete the 8 GIR; then 10 GIR, 12 GIR and 14 GIR. A better total score at the end of all 5 GIR games wins the overall game.
